Job Description
Function and Role:
Responsible for managing all aspect of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
Key responsibilities/Duties:
1. To liaise closely with the Project Manager / Project Director on all commercial matters to jointly maximum commercial benefit from a project.
2. To assist the Project Manager / Project Director in identifying circumstances occuring on the project, which entitle the Company to additional monies o rtime and ensure that contractual notices are give within the time limit set down in the Contract.
3. To produce monthly Contractual Cost Value Reconciliation (CCVR), Forecast Reports and any other commercial reports as required.
4. Monitor all Project correspondence for commercial issues and initiate commercial correspondence
5. To identify areas of commercial risk on the Project as early as possible and review with the Project Manager ways avoiding that risk.
Skills Description
Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices
- Knowledge of infrastructure, roads, marine, and utilities construction projects
- Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting
- Ability to perform cost analysis and value engineering
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for quantity surveying
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
