Dutco Construction L.L.C is part of the Dutco Group of Construction companies which started operations in the United Arab Emirates in the 1970s and today considered one of the leading heavy civil and marine contractors in the UAE.

We employ more than 10,000 people, making us one of the largest construction companies in the region with an extensive track record in large-scale projects including power stations, reservoirs, hotels, airport infrastructure and port development. Many of the country’s highways, tunnels and bridges have been engineered and built by us, allowing the use of our in-house asphalt, concrete, plant and machinery.

For almost 50 years we have built a strong and loyal client base across both the public and private sectors whilst working on the UAE’s iconic projects including Expo 2020, The Address Hotel renovation, Bluewaters, Marsa Al Seef, CityWalk and the expansion of the Fashion Avenue in the Dubai Mall.

We are hiring a Project Engineer  in Abu Dhabi. 

Key Responsibilities

• ReviewIFC drawings, designs, and method statementsto ensure construction feasibility and compliance with project specifications.

• Coordinate and supervisedaily site activitieswith site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.

• Ensure all work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

• Liaise withconsultants, clients, and internal teamsfor technical clarifications and approvals.

• Monitor site progress, report deviations, and provide solutions for technical or operational issues.

• Assist in preparingproject reports, site records, and documentationfor management review.

• SupportQA/QC and HSE teamsto maintain quality and safety standards.

• Ensuresafety complianceon site and actively participate in safety audits.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.

• 3–7 years experienceas a Project Engineer in construction or contracting projects (UAE/GCC experience preferred).

• Strong knowledge ofIFC drawings, construction methods, and site coordination.

• Familiarity withmethod statements, project scheduling, and progress monitoring.

• Proficient inAutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.

• Understanding ofQA/QC and HSE standardswith ability to ensure site compliance.

• Excellentcommunication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
